Overview & Highlights
Explore spectacular Arctic scenery on this epic fly-drive adventure through Canada’s Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Arriving in the capital Whitehorse, take a ride on an historic paddle steamer, then watch wildlife including elk, moose and bison at Yukon Wildlife Preserve. Opt for a kayaking excursion to spot bald eagles or a trip to Emerald Lake and the world’s smallest desert.
Then head north to the scene of the Klondike Gold Rush. Explore Dawson City’s mining heritage, historic buildings and museums, then try panning for gold in Klondike rivers. Enjoy an evening excursion to the Top of the Midnight Dome for sweeping views.
Head north-east to Eagle Plains. Stop on the way at Tombstone Territorial Park, exploring Arctic tundra, alpine lakes and granite mountains, home to grizzlies, black bears, moose, caribou and wolves.
Reach Inuvik, Canada’s largest town north of the Arctic Circle, perched on the Mackenzie Delta. Discover the stunning Arctic scenery on a boat or flightseeing tour before heading south again via Eagle Plains to Dawson City.
Return to Whitehorse via the former silver mining hub of Mayo, Five Finger Rapids and a dip in Nordic Hot Springs as your Yukon Arctic adventure draws to a close.
This tour runs exclusively June to September when conditions are best. From June to July, you can experience the wonder of the Midnight Sun in the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

Our expert's opinion
“The Yukon is so unique and full of surprises. I loved the Yukon Gold excursion in the Southern Lakes the most. Emerald Lake is stunning, true to its name, and I found it fascinating to find the world's smallest desert, the Carcross Desert, this far north. ”
