Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Vancouver, Capilano Suspension Bridge

Arrive at Vancouver Airport where you will be met and taken to your hotel by private transfer.

Enjoy the highlights of multicultural Vancouver including Capilano Suspension Bridge. Take the shuttle to north of the city where the bridge stretches over 130 metres across a canyon, some 70 metres above the river and park of the same name. Take a vertigo-inducing walk across the bridge, see the First Nation totem poles, tackle the Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure, then hike in the rainforest of the surrounding 27-acre park.

Explore the restaurants and nightlife of Vancouver in the afternoon and evening.

Day 2 Stanley Park and Gastown

Spend another day exploring Vancouver and the urban rainforest of 1,000-acre Stanley Park. Explore the gardens, see the totem poles at Brockton Point, walk along the famous Sea Wall or take a bike tour to cover more of the park.

Then explore Gastown, the city’s oldest district with cobbled streets and the famous Steam Clock. Along with adjacent Chinatown and Japantown districts, you’ll find some of the best cuisine in the city here, especially Can-Asian specialties.

Day 3 Granville Island and optional whale-watching

Spend another day exploring Vancouver. A great option is to head for Granville Island Market to browse a huge variety of local produce cooked up by expert chefs.

Alternatively, get out on the water to watch humpback whales and orcas on a half or full-day whale-watching tour in the Strait of Georgia (April to October only).

Explore more of Vancouver’s restaurants and nightlife in the evening.

Day 4 Fly to Whitehorse, Evening Aurora Viewing

Take your private transfer to the airport and fly from Vancouver to Whitehorse in the Yukon to begin your Northern Lights adventure.

Take your private transfer from Whitehorse airport to your downtown hotel for an orientation meeting. There will be time for relaxing, shopping and enjoying dinner independently.

In the evening, depart for your first night of viewing the incredible spectacle of the Northern Lights just outside the city in a cosy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks provided.

Day 5 Whitehorse City Tour, Evening Aurora Viewing

Enjoy breakfast at leisure, then depart for your Whitehorse city tour to give you an overview of the area, featuring Main Street, the Train Depot, Yukon Visitor Information Center, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish ladder and Schwatka Lake.

Return in the afternoon for free time and dinner at leisure before your second night of Aurora viewing later in the evening. Once again, hot drinks and snacks will be provided in the warm-up tent, where you can enjoy the roaring fire and share stories with fellow travellers.
