When is the best time to visit Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown?
Like much of the state of Virginia, the historical triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown benefits from four mild seasons of weather, making it a year round destination for travel. The best times of the year to visit are spring and autumn, when the weather will be pleasantly mild, and the local nature will be at its peak. Expect beautiful autumn foliage between September and November and lush blossom-filled gardens between March and May. Daytime highs will range from 27°C to 16°C depending on the month.
For those who want to visit during the summer months of June to August, the weather is hot with temperatures up to 31°C and occasional rain because of high humidity. Winter lasts from December to February and is generally uneventful and only moderately cold with highs around 12°C and lows down to freezing.
