Maryland’s Eastern Shore

A picturesque peninsula situated between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Maryland’s Eastern Shore offers endless recreational opportunities and is a popular summer destination for anyone living in the Capital Region. Eastern Shore’s main Atlantic coastline revolves around the classic beach town of Ocean City. Hailed as one of the cleanest beaches in America this vibrant locale has one of the most celebrated boardwalks in the in the country, as well as some of the finest restaurants and hotels in the region. A fun and relaxing place for travellers of all ages, Ocean City is also a great basecamp for exploring the Eastern Shore. The myriad of delightful towns include Berlin, St. Michaels, Tilghman Island, and Cambridge which is on the Chesapeake Bay side of the peninsula right next to the incredible Blackwater Wildlife Refuge where a kayaking trip is a must.

Ocean City is also located right next to the idyllic Assateague Island National Seashore – a 37-mile long barrier island famous for its beautiful beaches, wild horses and indigenous bird habitat.
