Weather

The Capital Region is generally milder than most of its East Coast counterparts thanks to its southernly location within the humid subtropical climate zone and can be visited year round. Expect summer to be hot and humid, autumn to be warm and pleasant, winter to be cold and rainy and spring to be sunny and mild. The best time to visit is during the spring and autumn months of April to May and September to October when the weather is pleasantly warm with daytime highs between 19°C and 25°C, and attractions are less crowded for all-day sightseeing.
