When is the best time to visit Charlottesville?
Like much of the state of Virginia, Charlottesville has a mild four-season climate with hot summers, cool winters and pleasant spring and autumn months. The best time to visit Charlottesville is generally between end March to May and September to early November when the weather will be ideal for sightseeing and the local nature will be at its peak. Expect sun and daytime highs between 15°C to 26°C.
Summers are beautiful but tend to be hot and humid so be prepared for temperatures to reach 30°C if you visit between the months of June and August. Winter is the low season thanks to the cooler weather with daytime averages between December and February staying in the single digits.
