Annapolis FAQs

Find out all you need to know about visiting Annapolis.

When is the best time to visit Annapolis?

Annapolis is a four-season destination with year-round sailing and boating on its shores, but the best time to go to Annapolis is during the warmer months when the weather is ideal for sightseeing and venturing out on to the city’s waters. The spring and autumn months of April to May and September to October offer pleasantly warm weather and fewer crowds with daytime highs ranging from 20°C and 27°C. Summer is an equally good time to visit Annapolis if you plan on going out on the water as temperatures between June and August will go up to 30°C making it an ideal summer destination if you don’t mind the busy town and waters.

November and March are mild months with highs up to 14C but come winter the temperatures drop with highs in the single digits and lows at or below freezing. The cold weather is lifted by the holiday charm Annapolis creates every year – so much so that the city has been voted one of the best cities in America to spend the holiday season.
