Texas FAQs
Find out all you need to know about visiting Texas.
When is the best time to visit Texas?
Texas can be visited year-round thanks to its temperate climate. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit with the months of March to early June and October to November offering pleasantly warm days and refreshingly cool nights. Summer tends to be long, hot and humid with temperatures regularly reaching the mid-30s from June up until the end of September. Rainfall is also an occasional occurrence during these months as the state is affected by the Gulf Coasts’ monsoon season. Winter daytime temperatures range from a mild 19°C in the south of Texas to 11°C in the north, and evenings will drop closer to freezing the further up you travel.
What is the official language of Texas?
English is the official language spoken in Texas, but Spanish can occasionally be used as well because of the large Hispanic population within the state.
How do I manage my travel money in Texas?
The official currency of the USA is the United States dollar (USD). Cash, credit, and debit cards are widely accepted, and cash machines are easy to access.
What places combine well with Texas?
With multiple major international airports and a convenient location in the middle of the southern half of the United States, Texas is well-placed for visiting other locations within both the US and Latin America. Venture east into the charming musical cities of the Deep South, head west for the Great Western states with their breathtaking deserts and national parks or take a flight south to one of Latin America’s beautiful countries.
