Rocky Mountain States FAQs

Find out all you need to know about visiting Rocky Mountain States.

When is the best time to visit Rocky Mountain States?

The best time to visit the Rocky Mountain States depends on two things: the weather and the peak tourism season. Summer is the best time to travel to the region as the weather is warm with daytime temperatures between 26°C and 32°C and evening temperatures generally remaining above freezing in the higher elevations. The only thing to be mindful of is that June to August is the high season for visitors.

Spring and autumn tend to attract fewer crowds, making the months of late April to early June and September to October equally good times of the year to visit the Rocky Mountain States. The weather is mild – daytime temperatures hover around 17°C to 22°C – and the nature is equally beautiful. Nights can get cold however, and layering is a must, especially the higher up one goes.

What is the official language of Rocky Mountain States?

How do I manage my travel money in Rocky Mountain States?

The official currency of the USA is the United States dollar (USD). Cash, credit, and debit cards are widely accepted, and cash machines are easy to access.
