Opened in 1991, the Southern Cross Guest Ranch combines a working ranch with the unparalleled comfort of a cosy bed and breakfast, and offers many amenities and options so guests can get the most out of their stay. Ranching doesn’t have to mean “roughing it” and staff are welcoming and do their utmost to make sure everyone has a good time. Chefs cook up three delicious homemade meals every day, and from daily horse rides through the countryside to sitting back and relaxing by the pool, guests will find plenty to do with mountain biking, hiking, swimming, basketball, billiards, darts and table tennis all on offer across the 225-acre ranch.

The whole property is styled with unique décor to bring the quintessential ranch experience to life, as are the rooms. Upscale and spacious, the ranch’s 17 guest rooms offer a peaceful and cosy haven away from home, each offering varying levels of floor space, views and capacities for every type of visitor. Guests can choose between a Rustic, Classic, Family Plus, Superior or Suite room depending on their preferences. There are also over a dozen decks and lounges for guests to use at their leisure – all with a beautiful view.

Before guests arrive they are also encouraged to choose their stay package. The Southern Cross Ranch offers horse experiences for all levels and anyone who chooses to ride will have the option to be guided by the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. The most popular option is the All-Inclusive with Riding where visitors are guaranteed to saddle up for two daily rides with the ranch’s happy and well-trained horses. Those who only desire one horse ride a day or only the occasional horse-related experience, should choose the All-Inclusive Non-Riding plan or the simple Bed & Breakfast stay.
