Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse
Visit Peggy’s Cove, one of Canada’s best-known lighthouses with a dramatic location on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.
Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, also known as Peggy’s Point, is one of Nova Scotia’s most famous lighthouses and one of the most photographed in Canada.
Located in the endearing fishing village of Peggy’s Cove along the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse was built in 1915. The lighthouse is famed for its dramatic location on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Atlantic, with colourful houses and fishing shacks in the adjacent village. It has been an inspiration for artists for generations.
Although this unique environment has been designated a preservation area, it is still an active fishing community. Take in the scenic road on the way from Halifax, then enjoy free time to explore Peggy’s Cove.
