Rising like an oasis out of the desert, Las Vegas is a gleaming feast for the senses. Centred around the Strip – the bustling main thoroughfare and home to the city’s colossal casino resorts – this is where glitz and kitsch are celebrated in equal measures, and that’s part of the fun. The self-styled Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas offers stellar live music and theatre, world-class restaurants, epic rooftop pools, and a burgeoning craft-cocktail scene – proving there’s more to this fluorescent city than just gambling.

Away from the Strip one can also explore the welcoming bars and street entertainment of “Old Las Vegas” – the city’s downtown district concentrated around Fremont Street. There’s even a zipline for the adventurous. The city’s Arts District, also known as 18b (for the 18 blocks that the area covers) is also an attraction in its own right.
