Developed from land purchased from the Illinois Central Railroad, thanks to local, state and national government cooperation, the St. Tammany Trace is now a 45km paved roadway made exclusively for cyclists and offers a beautiful environs in which to get out and about in the great outdoors. Designed to accommodate both leisure riders and hardcore cyclists, a ride along the St. Tammany Trace takes you off the beaten path into a peaceful corner of America’s Deep South.
