Find out all you need to know about visiting San Antonio.
When is the best time to visit San Antonio?
Like much of Texas, San Antonio is a year-round destination boasting a wonderfully mild climate no matter the season. The best months to visit San Antonio are March, April, October and November when the weather is at its best and the city is bustling with outdoor festivals and events. Daytime temperatures will range from 22°C to 28°C, with spring bringing the state’s beautiful wildflower displays and autumn affording visitors comfortable temperatures for outdoor exploration. Summer in San Antonio is hot and humid with daytime highs between June and early September regularly reaching the mid-30s – proving challenging for both residents and visitors alike. The city’s famous River Walk provides plenty of shade should you be happening to visit during these months and a dip in one of the local rivers will help you cool off too. Winter is temperate in San Antonio and can be a welcome break from colder winters in the UK. Expect daytime temperatures between December and February to reach a pleasant 18°C and drop to 11°C come evening.
