When is the best time to visit Amarillo?

Located in the Panhandle Plains of Texas, Amarillo has the most seasonal weather with four defined seasons throughout the year. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit Amarillo as both offer pleasant temperatures, sunny skies and fewer crowds. Expect daytime highs between 18°C and 29°C from March to May and September to October. Summer in Amarillo is hot and humid with temperatures around 32°C between June and August. If you can stand the heat, you’ll be rewarded with wonderful summer festivals. Winter tends to be brisk with daytime temperatures from December to February around 12°C, falling to freezing come night.
