Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park has lush landscapes of forests, hills and prairies, offering fantastic hiking, cycling, horse-riding and fishing. Straddling the border with Alberta, the park contains the highest point in Saskatchewan at nearly 1,400 metres, commanding sweeping views over the valleys.

Cypress Hills is also a Dark Sky Preserve, so star-gazing is recommended, and in winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular. Wildlife in the park includes deer, moose, elk, beavers and prairie dogs as well as an array of birdlife.

The historical highlight of the park is Fort Walsh, a former headquarters of the North West Mounted Police and site of the Cypress Hills Massacre. The site depicts life in the 1870s with historic buildings, an interpretation centre and hiking trails.
