Rocky Mountain States
There’s no better place for outdoor adventure than in the Rocky Mountains, and this trip takes to you the region’s most majestic locations. Colorado is the gateway to the Rockies, so you’ll be starting in Denver and ending your trip in the heart of the West, Rapid City, South Dakota, getting to experience the breathtaking natural wonders of Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Rocky Mountain National Parks, as well as the incredible scenery, wildlife and small towns across the Rocky Mountain region.
You’ll begin your trip in the mile-high cultural epicentre of the Rocky Mountain region, Denver. A place for both exploration and inspiration, you’ll find a thriving cultural scene, vibrant neighbourhoods, award-winning restaurants and more craft beer breweries than anywhere else in the United States. You’ll then make your way over to the world-famous Rocky Mountain National Park for two nights, seeing this illustrious mountain range in all its glory before heading to the beautiful mountain resort town of Glenwood Springs. You’ll get to soak in some of the largest mineral pools in the world and revel in the mountain splendour before starting a road trip up to Jackson Hole, famed for its year-round outdoor recreation, beautiful ranches and fine dining – not to mention its prime location on the doorstep of Grand Teton National Park. You’ll spend two luxurious nights there before finally arriving in Yellowstone National Park. You’ll be minutes away from the world-famous Old Faithful Geyser exploring what is arguably the USA’s most incredible natural wonder, showcasing what the North American continent was like before recorded history across its 2.2 million acres of unspoiled wilderness. You’ll then continue to go back in time with overnight stays in the former Wild West towns of Billings and Medora before taking a scenic drive to Rapid City – getting to stop in picturesque places like Spearfish Canyon along the way. Rapid City will give you access to the breathtaking Badlands National Park, the founding fathers faces at Mount Rushmore, and a guided buffalo safari in the local bison’s natural habitat, Custer State Park – immersing you in the incredible sights of the Rocky Mountain region.
