Denver FAQs

Find out all you need to know about visiting Denver.

When is the best time to visit Denver?

With one of the longest periods of autumnal colours of any city in the US, the best time to visit Denver is between September and October to witness the rusty reds and shimmering shades of gold while enjoying the mild sunny weather that this season offers. Festivals are aplenty this time of year and daytime temperatures range from 18-25°C.

There’s plenty to do in Denver year-round so consider visiting in other seasons as well. Late spring has mild, pleasant weather and is the low season for tourism. Summer is dry and hot with temperatures reaching up to 32°C, and winter is cold and snowy with temperatures hovering around freezing.

What is the time difference between the UK and Denver?

What places combine well with Denver?

Denver is a great place to either start or end your journey in the Rocky Mountain states, as its main airport services both international and regional flights. So, take a short domestic flight to anywhere in the Rocky Mountain states, including the more remote locations like Glacier National Park, the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho or South Dakota’s Badlands. If you are looking for somewhere you can drive or take a train to instead, then explore in and around Colorado. The Rocky Mountain National Park, Mesa Verde National Park and the charming mountain town of Glenwood Springs are all within reach of Colorado’s capital city.
