Buffalo Safari South Dakota
A short drive from both Rapid City and Badlands National Park in South Dakota, lies the natural habitat of the Midwest’s bison population, and you can see them for yourself with a private off-road safari tour in Custer State Park. Your experienced guide will take you off-road onto the private, interior dirt roads of the Park, not even accessible on the Park’s Wildlife Loop. You will be taken straight to where the animals roam and weave through the local herd of around 1,300 free-roaming bison and other native wildlife like pronghorn antelope, elk burros, deer, coyotes, bighorn sheep and prairie dogs. Along the way, your guide will share educational and historical facts about the wildlife and the park, as well as helping you to spot all the incredible creatures. Tours last about 2 hours and depart from 6am to 6pm, with sunrise offering the most peaceful and picturesque hour.
