Weather

May to September is the best time to visit Quebec with the warmest weather, the most sunshine, a range of cultural events, and whale-watching season in Tadoussac and Gaspé. Overall, summer (June-August) is warmer in the south of the province and winter (November-March) harsher in the north. Summer averages 16-24°C, while winter is very cold with temperatures below zero and frequent snow December-February. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) range from cold to comfortably mild. It tends to be rainier in Gaspé than inland areas.
