When is the best time to visit Willamette Valley?

Anytime of the year can be a great time to visit Willamette Valley as there are things to do year-round in the region. If you are coming specifically for wine, then you can plan your trip around four seasons: winter’s cellar season, spring’s bud break season, summer’s al fresco season and autumn’s crush season.

Each season also transforms the region’s outdoor activities into new experiences, whether it’s hiking, biking or walking waterway trails. Winters tend to be cool and wet with temperatures staying in single digits. Spring is often rainy with highs up to 16C and lows in the single digits. Summers are wonderfully warm with highs up to 28C and autumns are mild with cool evenings and daytime temperatures hovering between 18-20°C.
