Overview & Highlights
Filled with enviable natural wonders, friendly locals and one of the West Coast’s coolest cities, Oregon is the epitome of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll find yourself looking out on otherworldly rock formations off rugged coasts, gazing up at snow-topped mountain peaks while hiking through lush valleys, and witnessing fantastical waterfalls cascade into rivers – all the while exploring its progressive towns and cities. You’ll start and end your journey in Portland, doing a round trip of all of Oregon’s Seven Natural Wonders along the way, and stopping in the small towns that make this state so welcoming.
Start with two nights in America’s greenest city, Portland. You’ll get to enjoy its thriving craft beer and culinary scene, as well as its sensational parks, and visit the stunning scenery of the Columbia River Gorge. Then, a short drive out of the city takes you for an overnight stay in Oregon’s award-winning wine country before a few more hours on the road takes you to the rugged cliffs, living tide pools and sublime shores of the spectacular Oregon Coast. You’ll spend two nights in Newport and one night in Bandon, giving you more than an introduction to the Pacific Ocean. You’ll then head back inland to the Old West history and southern wine country offerings in Grants Pass before taking an overnight stay at the breathtakingly beautiful Crater Lake National Park. Next up is one of Oregon’s most charming small towns, Sisters – which is also one of the best locations in the state for scenic drives, hikes and relaxing walks. Stay two nights before heading to the town of Fossil in the exquisite John Day River Territory. You’ll be staying on a 9,000 acre working ranch with plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation and astounding natural beauty wherever you look. You’ll end your journey in historic Hood River, right at the base of the towering Mount Hood, getting your fill of the Cascades and the locally grown fruit for a sweet end to what will have been an even sweeter journey.
