Bellingham

Situated on the northern coast of the state of Washington between North Cascades National Park and the rugged coastline of the Salish Sea, Bellingham inhabits a special place in America’s Pacific Northwest. Come winter, Bellingham becomes a winter wonderland with excellent opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Mount Baker.

Away from the city’s mountains one can find plenty to do in the Salish Sea. Explore the pristine coastline by kayak, sailboat or paddleboard. Whale-watching tours are popular and leave daily between May and September. The waterfront Boulevard Park is also perfect for a stroll.

Besides offering a myriad of outdoor pursuits, Bellingham has a thriving beer and sea-to-table food scene with the downtown area having become a great incubator for young chefs and breweries. Enjoy some of the freshest seafood in the region, like salmon, oysters and crab, and stop for a drink in one of Bellingham’s 20 craft breweries. The town also has numerous museums for those who crave a bit of culture during their stay.
