Warm clothing, wet weather gear and good hiking boots are advisable for exploring the mountains and coast of Canada.

Weather

The best time to visit Canada is April to October with the warmest temperatures and most sunshine. This is also the best time to see wildlife in the Rockies and on the coast. Spring (April-May) and Autumn (September-October) are cooler and rainier than Summer (June to August) but attractive times to visit.

Altitude

Destinations in the Rockies climb to between 1,000 and 2000m so pace yourself and be prepared with warm clothing.
