More than 7,000 square kilometres of lush maple and fir forests, hills, meadows, rivers and lakes make up Algonquin, Canada’s oldest provincial park. Algonquin is so big that it’s easy to find quiet corners even in summer for fishing and watching including moose, deer, beavers, black bears and wolves.

There are 20 hiking trails and three cycling trails, while the lakes and tributaries offer great canoeing, and for the more adventurous some of the best whitewater rafting in Ontario. The park also has an interesting visitor centre with exhibitions on natural and human history as well as a Logging Museum and Art Center.
