Weather

Late May to mid-September is the best time to visit Newfoundland with the warmest weather and most sunshine. May-July is peak season for iceberg spotting while May to September is best for whale-watching. Temperatures in summer (June-August) range 13-21°C. Rain is relatively frequent throughout the year but more so from September to March. Spring (April-May) and Autumn (September-October) range from cool to mild. Winter (December-March) is cold and windy, and many restaurants and guesthouses close.
