When is the best time to visit Stowe?

Stowe is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is May to October when the weather is warmest and sunniest, albeit with rain most common May to August. Summer (June-August) has average temperatures of 20-27°C and can get hot at times with occasional thunderstorms, while autumn (September-October) is the best time to explore the countryside for the spectacular Fall colours, especially in October. Spring (April-May) ranges from cold to mild with temperatures from 5-15°C. Winter (November-March) sees temperatures from 5°C down to -10°C with snow most common December-February.

What is the time difference between the UK and Stowe?

Stowe uses Eastern Standard Time (GMT – 5), observing Daylight Saving Time (GMT – 4) March to November.

What places combine well with Stowe?

One of the biggest advantages of holidaying in New England is the relatively short distance between destinations by US standards. Stowe is easily combined with elsewhere in Vermont and New England. Woodstock is 1.5 hour’s drive south and Burlington less than an hour west. White Mountains in New Hampshire is two hours south-east and Boston three hours south-east.
