When is the best time to visit Cape Cod and Islands?

Cape Cod is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is May to October when the weather is warmest and sunniest. This is also whale-watching season, which peaks June-August. Summer (June-August) has average temperatures of 18-25°C and can get very busy with vacationers, while autumn (September-October) is the best time to explore the countryside for the spectacular Fall colours. Many places in the region close for the winter.

Cape Cod uses Eastern Standard Time (GMT – 5), observing Daylight Saving Time (GMT – 4) March to November.
