Utah’s National Parks FAQs

Find out all you need to know about visiting Utah’s National Parks.

When is the best time to visit Utah’s National Parks?

The best time to go to Utah’s National Parks is between May and October when the northernmost parks have temperatures ranging from 10-27°C and the southernmost parks have temperatures ranging from 20-35°C. While this is the peak domestic tourism season in the United States, the parks are so large, you’ll only see crowds at the start of the trails. The months of November to March aren’t recommended as they are generally quite cold with temperatures in the single digits and nights falling below freezing.

What is the time difference between the UK and Utah’s National Parks?

GMT – 6 hours

What places combine well with Utah’s National Parks?

If you are visiting Utah’s National Parks, Moab, a charming town located in the middle of the National Parks area is well worth a stop overnight. You can also travel south into Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, and ultimately end your trip in one of Arizona’s lively cities. Or, if you would like a change of scenery, head west to Las Vegas. The 7 hour drive features scenic landscapes.
