Utah’s National Parks

A place where cities, mountains and rivers converge, Utah is full of awe-inspiring landscapes and world class outdoor adventures, many of which come from its five incredible national parks: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion.

Located in the southern half of Utah, and affectionately referred to as the Mighty Five, each park boasts unique features and some of the most breath-taking landscapes you can see. Start with Arches National Park where you can see the largest proliferation of arches in the world over a 73,234-acre wonderland that’s been sculpted by wind and time. A hike to see the sunrise through Landscape Arch is a must for any visitor.

Continue to nearby Canyonlands National Park where you can witness the rugged terrain of its deep canyons and towering mesas that extend as far as the eye can see. While you’re there, take the easy Mesa Arch hike to see one of Utah’s most scenic views.

For sweeping vistas of red rock landscapes and towering cliffs go to Capitol Reef National Park. A popular film set for Hollywood; chances are you’ve already gotten a glimpse of its iconic geography in a Western film.

Carry on to Bryce Canyon National Park which features of miles of spires of rock. Recognised the world over, one can watch the golden hues of the stones change throughout the landscape as the sun rises and sets.

Last but not least, find yourself in Zion National Park. Known for its stunning scenery, follow the Virgin River throughout the main canyon to see the lush greenery contrast with the bright orange cliffs either side of you, or walk through The Narrows to find yourself in an otherworldly place. For the adventurous, hike the steep Angel’s Landing.
