Itinerary
Day 1 North to Daytona Beach and St Augustine
Collect your motorhome from Cruise America in Kissimmee. Drive to Daytona Beach, home of the world-famous Speedway, and then continue up Florida’s coast road, Route A1A. The North Beach Camp Resort is five miles outside the historic city of St. Augustine, the oldest permanent European settlement on the North American continent.

Day 2 Georgia and historic Savannah
Cross into Georgia then continue north along the coast to historic Savannah, one of the true ‘old south’ cities. Visit The Pirates House, setting for some of Robert Louis Stephenson’s Treasure Island. You’re staying at Red Gate Campground, about 15 minutes from the city. The campground has fishing ponds, bird watching, nature trails, horse-riding and salt water swimming pool.

Day 3 Charleston, South Carolina
The historic city of Charleston is your next destination in South Carolina. Admire the city’s original architecture and historic warships at Patriots’ Point Museum. Stay at the 32-acre Lake Aire RV Park and Campground. Visit Fort Sumter, site of one of the first Civil War skirmishes.

Day 4 Myrtle Beach
This morning you’re heading for Myrtle Beach. On the way, visit plantations such as Boone Hall, Middleton Place or Magnolia Plantation. Myrtle Beach is famous for its golf courses but has other attractions too. Visit Broadway at the Beach, the most popular tourist destination in the area with a wide range of activities.

Day 5 Lake Lure, North Carolina
Drive west through the countryside of South Carolina to reach the resort Lake Lure in North Carolina, famous for that iconic lake lift in the movie Dirty Dancing. This is a natural area of beauty so take a trip to the top of Chimney Rock for amazing views.

Days 6-7 Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Today you reach the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, world-renowned for its diverse plant and animal life, ancient mountains and southern Appalachian mountain culture. This is America’s most visited national park on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. Spend a few days enjoying attractions including helicopter tours, nature centres, hikes, drives, whitewater rafting, Splash Country and The Titanic Museum. Complete your stay with a visit to Dollywood, including Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner show. Don’t miss Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, the largest privately owned home in the USA.

Day 8 Stone Mountain Park, Georgia
Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park contains the world’s largest relief carving, depicting Confederate leaders Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson and President Jefferson Davis. Over 3,200 acres of natural beauty, the park offers outdoor adventures including 15 miles of wooded nature trails and the 1.3 mile trail to the top of Stone Mountain. Don’t miss the 825-foot summit of Stone Mountain by high speed cable car.

Day 9 Drive back to Florida and Cedar Key
Drive along Interstate to lovely Cedar Key in Florida, staying at Sunset Isle RV Park in the Gulf of Mexico. Visit the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge and Cedar Key State Museum.

Day 10 Tampa Bay
Drive to a campground close to Tampa Bay’s many attractions, including famous Busch Gardens with its rollercoasters. Visit Tarpon Springs, an interesting Greek sponge diving port.

Days 11-12 Disney and Orlando area
Take Interstate 4 to Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and spend a few days enjoying Disney’s various theme parks. Highlights include the restaurants and high-tech rides of EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow), as well as MGM, the Animal Kingdom as well as the Magic Kingdom.

As your tour comes to an end, return your motorhome to the Cruise America Depot in Kissimmee.
