The sun is very strong in Florida and the southern states in summer, so wear a hat, apply plenty of sunscreen and keep hydrated.

Weather

The best time to visit depends on the region. Central and northern Florida coast are best October-November and March-May, while December to February can be cold.

The Carolinas and Georgia benefit from a mild climate year-round climate. Similar to northern Florida, spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit with warm, sunny days and pleasantly cool nights, while summer tends to be hot and humid.
