Located between New Orleans and the capital, Baton Rouge, Plantation Country is a 54-mile stretch along the Great River Road on the Mississippi River. You can now see Plantation Country estates restored to their antebellum era glory, like the Houmas House Plantation – once the largest producer of sugar cane in the country.
