When is the best time to visit Natchez?

Natchez benefits from a humid subtropical climate with mild temperatures, moderate rainfall, and plenty of sunshine year-round. Spring and autumn are ideal times to visit Natchez with beautiful foliage, and temperatures in the low to mid 20s. Summer is warm verging on hot with temperatures up to the high 30s – perfect for camping or hiking in the Natchez Trace Parkway or watching a sunset on the Mississippi River with a refreshing drink. Winters are mild: expect daytime highs in the low 20s and evenings to be in the low teens.

What places combine well with Natchez?

As Natchez is located along the Mississippi River, you can continue your journey up to the historic town of Vicksburg to visit the National Military Park or further north to the Mississippi Delta to discover the history of the Blues. You can also travel down into Louisiana, or further inland along the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway which leads into both Alabama and Tennessee.
