Nashville

Of all of America’s cities, few are as iconic as Nashville. Known as the Music City – especially of the Country variety – Nashville was founded on music from its very beginnings. The holy grail for fans of country music, Nashville has the venues where many legendary artists began their careers – from Hank Williams and Elvis to Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton – anyone who’s anyone in country music has performed at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium.

Take a tour of either place or pass by in the evenings for a once in a lifetime concert. Catch a show from musicians of all calibres in the honky tonks and juke joints along Broadway and Printer’s Alley, and don’t miss a show at the renowned Bluebird Café. With over 150 live music venues, you can listen to live rock, gospel, soul, blues, jazz and pop any day of the week.

Away from the lively music scene, you can also learn about music history by stopping in the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. Nashville has plenty to offer beside music as well with the city’s history going back to Civil War battle sites and 19th century plantations. Fine Southern food is also aplenty as is whiskey – Tennessee’s beloved spirit.
