Find out all you need to know about visiting Cajun Country.

When is the best time to visit Cajun Country?

Louisiana’s Cajun Country can be visited year round thanks to its mild climate, but the best seasons to travel are Spring and Autumn when temperatures are pleasant, and festivals are at their peak. Spring temperatures are warm and hover around the low to mid 20s. Summer is generally hot with temperatures reaching the low 30s. Autumn remains warm with September still in the high 20s and November finishing in the mid to high teens. Winter temperatures tend to range between the mid-teens and single digits but lift just enough in time for the Cajun version of Mardi Gras in February, the Courir de Mardi Gras.
