When is the best time to visit Tallulah Gorge?
The best time to go to Tallulah Gorge State Park in North Carolina is between end April and early November when the weather is at its best for outdoor exploring. The park is open year round, but most people come in the autumn months of September to November to see the spectacular changing foliage. Temperatures are pleasant with daytime highs ranging from 17°C to 26°C. Summer temperatures can go up to 30°C between June and August, but with the rivers and waterfalls to cool down in, and beautiful leafy forests to explore, you won’t overheat.
