The American Hotel leans into its retro vibe with pop art, vintage furniture and memorabilia on display. This hotel was the first integrated hotel in Atlanta, and hosted many famous guests, including Elvis Presley, Jimmy Carter and Martin Luther King Jr.

Expect that classic American theme from literal top to bottom when you check in here, starting from The Cloakroom Kitchen and Bar, a cozy spot for Southern-inspired dishes and cocktails on the ground floor to its delicious breakfast buffet in the Fusion room.

Rooms follow the theme too, with 55-inch LCD TVs, free WiFi, coffee stations and 1960s replica mini-fridges. For those traveling while working, there’s a huge business center. Those looking to explore can easily walk to many restaurants, eateries and entertainment venues, like the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and the Tabernacle.
