Weather

Georgia and the Carolinas benefit from a mild climate year-round with only slight seasonal changes. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit with warm, sunny days, pleasantly cool nights, and multiple events and festivals to take part in. Summer tends to be hot and humid but continues to be lively, with June to August being the peak tourist season for a trip to the coast. Winter daytime temperatures can be cold in the state parks and higher elevations, but in the region’s major cities, winter is pleasantly mild with temperatures remaining in the double digits.
