Half a mile inland from Monterey Bay, Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa on Del Monte Golf Course is a haven for relaxation. Swim in the two outdoor heated pools, relax in the hammock garden, play golf at Del Monte Golf Course, work out at the fitness centre or take a tennis lesson, then indulge in a spa treatment.

This large hotel has more than 500 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, views of the surrounding woodland, plush linens, modern furnishing and amenities including TVs, coffee-makers and fridges. Some suites add living rooms, dining areas and walk-in closets.

The upscale restaurant Sea Root mixes flavours of the Mediterranean with Pacific Coast ingredients, while the bar serves artisanal cocktails and craft brews, and the Del Monte Grill offers informal patio dining overlooking the golf course.

Spa Adeline has a steam room, sauna and range of treatments. Note that the hotel is pet-friendly.
