Sea to Sky Gondola

A spectacular stop-off on the road from Vancouver to Whistler is the Sea to Sky Gondola, offering sweeping views of Howe Sound, the coastal forest and surrounding mountains.

The Sea to Sky Gondola is about 45 minutes from Vancouver along the Sea to Sky Highway. The 12-minute ride in eight-person gondolas to the summit provides wonderful views of Shannon Falls.

At the top there are two loop walking trails with cantilevered viewing platforms and the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. The bridge is 100 metres long and offers panoramic views of Howe Sound. There are also numerous hiking trails, rock climbing, snow shoeing, and it’s worth lingering to eat at the Sky Pilot restaurant and take in the views at your leisure.
