Overview & Highlights
Explore fjords, forests and beaches, and watch bears, whales and orcas on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island on this two-week tour.
Begin in the wonderful city of Vancouver by visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge and the urban rainforest of Stanley Park before sampling the city’s multicultural cuisine in historic Gastown and Granville Island Market.
Then take your hire car on the ferry to discover The Sunshine Coast, a pristine 180-km stretch of inlets, islands and forested hills. Enjoy spectacular hikes with panoramic views, boating and kayaking trips through fjords and inlets, and see the fastest salt water rapids in North America. One of the highlights of this enchanting region is Desolation Sound, a serene marine park surrounded by steep evergreen mountains populated by grizzlies.
Now it’s time to cross the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Enjoy the beaches of Parksville before heading out to the Pacific coast and Ucluelet for some unforgettable excursions watching black bears along the coast and kayaking in Pacific Rim National Park.
Sample the cuisine of the Cowichan Valley then go whale-watching off the coast of Port Renfrew. Finish your tour in British Columbian capital Victoria, one of Canada’s most beautiful cities, renowned for its architecture, food and marine wildlife.

Our expert's opinion
“Vancouver Island deserves its reputation as one of the world’s top destinations for whale-watching. One pod of orcas seemed to delight in performing for us, breaching out of the ocean so close to our boat we could feel the ripples. ”
