Overview & Highlights
Enjoy one of the world’s top wildlife experiences - watching grizzly bears in their natural habitat in the Great Bear Rainforest, as well as watching whales off Vancouver Island on this spellbinding tour.
Your journey begins with two days in fascinating Vancouver. Visit the spine-tingling Capilano Suspension Bridge and urban rainforest of Stanley Park before feasting on the city’s multicultural cuisine in historic Gastown and Granville Island Market.
Take the ferry to Vancouver Island and the beautiful capital of British Columbia, Victoria. Explore the city’s elegant waterfront, gardens and historic architecture before taking a kayaking tour around the harbour. Then discover some of the wildest scenery on Vancouver Island's Pacific coast in Tofino. Explore the surrounding rainforest on a kayaking and hiking trip to Meares Island to see huge 1,000-year-old cedar trees. Then take an unforgettable whale-watching tour in Clayoquot Sound to see grey whales, humpbacks and orcas, as well as sea lions, porpoise, seals and otters.
Then it’s time to head to Vancouver Island’s east coast and Campbell River. There’s time for some fishing and hiking to the waterfall of Elk Falls Provincial Park before journeying into the wonderful wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Take a float plane to remote Knight Inlet and stay at the floating Knight Inlet Lodge, which offers some of the best grizzly bear viewing in the world. Enjoy watching bears and their cubs from the lodge and spend the next three days embarking on unforgettable excursions, including bear tracking, canopy walks and cruises to view and photograph bears from the water and on land.
Fly back to Campbell River and take the ferry back to Vancouver as your once-in-a-lifetime tour concludes.

Our expert's opinion
“The Great Bear Rainforest ranks as one of the world’s best places for wildlife viewing. I’ve never seen so many grizzly bears, so completely unfazed by our presence. I took hundreds of photographs every day and the biggest problem is choosing which one to frame.”
