Whale-watching in Clayoquot Sound
Tofino on Vancouver Island is one of the best places in the world to see a variety of species of whales, including gray whales, humpbacks and orcas between April and October.
The captain and crew will take you to prime viewing spots to see whales and other wildlife including sea lions, porpoise, seals, sea otters, bald eagles and tufted puffins.
Each spring, gray whales migrate from Mexico to feed in Tofino’s waters before heading north to Alaska. Humpback whales migrate to Tofino from Hawaii. Watching them breaching the surface of the water is a truly unforgettable sight. Transient orcas (killer whales) are also found patrolling along the coast and far out to sea to find their prey.
