Farewell Harbour Lodge

Situated on the edge of the Great Bear Rainforest, the lodge is the only habitation on Berry Island in a region rich in biodiversity. Maritime life is particularly abundant in the surrounding waters, including orcas, humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions and sea otters.

The main lodge building and common area feature a comfortable lounge, dining room, bar and brick fireplace surrounded by large windows and a wrap-around deck offering spectacular views of the harbour.

Rustic but comfortable mid-range rooms are spread across the main lodge and smaller floating lodge with en suite bathrooms, gas fireplaces and unique designs incorporating natural cedar and artwork from the local area.

The lodge offers boat tours to see black and grizzly bears in nearby locations, as well as tours to indigenous sites, kayaking, rainforest walks, forest bathing and whale watching. Stargazing at night is recommended with little light pollution in the area.

The lodge is accessible by water taxi from Alder Bay near Telegraph Cove. Note that the lodge is not wheelchair accessible – ramps and climbing involved between jetties and boats. Open June to October.
