When is the best time to visit Waterton National Park?

Waterton lives up to its name by being one of the rainiest areas in Alberta so come prepared. Summer (late June – mid-September) is the warmest and least rainy season with temperatures averaging 15-16°C. The park is frequently windy, and noticeably wetter in the west around Cameron Lake than in the east. Spring (April to June) is wettest while winter (November to March) is cold and windy but can be milder than elsewhere in the province.
