Explore Canada’s most stunning province Alberta, famous for majestic Rocky Mountain peaks, emerald lakes and sweeping wildernesses filled with elk, bears and big-horned sheep on this unforgettable two-week fly-drive tour.

Begin in Canadian cowboy country and the cultural attractions of Calgary, including the famous tower for panoramic views over the city. Then head south to the peaceful, rugged scenery of Waterton Lakes, ideal for hiking, horse-riding and boating.

Drive north to the edge of the Canadian Rockies and the town of Canmore with its dramatic location beneath the Three Sisters peaks. Explore the surrounding Kananaskis Country with hikes and optional river rafting.

Then drive to nearby mountain resort Banff, Canada’s highest town. Take the gondola up to Sulphur Mountain for a breathtaking panorama and watch for bears, moose and elk in Banff National Park.

Gaze upon the shimmering turquoise Lake Louise, known as the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’. Explore the surrounding mountains, lakes and waterfalls before enjoying afternoon tea at Fairmont Château Lake Louise, one of the world’s most stunningly located hotels.

Then take one of the world’s best drives past the canyons, icefields and glaciers of incredible Icefields Parkway to Jasper, before exploring lakes and gorges in Jasper National Park.

Head north-east out of the Rockies to Edmonton, one of the most northerly large cities in North America. Enjoy the city’s busy cultural scene and explore its verdant urban parkland, including North Saskatchewan River Valley and Fort Edmonton Park, before learning about thriving First Nations culture in nearby Metis Crossing.
