Exit Glacier Hike
Hike to Exit Glacier, a huge wall of blue ice descending from the Harding Ice Field on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula.
This moderate hiking adventure is great for viewing a highlight of the Resurrection River Valley – Exit Glacier. This massive wall of blue ice descends the mountainside from the Harding Ice Field to the Resurrection River.
A shuttle will take you to Exit Glacier where an hour-and-a-half hike through a de-glaciated landscape brings you to the edge of the glacier.
This tour introduces you to the basics of ice climbing with a professional guide, and while climbing experience is not required, the physical ability to hike and climb is a must. You’ll hike a total of about 4.5 miles and ascend and descend about 1,500 feet.
The tour offers a memorable secluded mountain experience and breathtaking views.
