Alyeska Scenic Tram Ride

Enjoy wonderful views of Turnagain Arm and the Chugach Mountains on this tram ride to the top of Alaska’s Mount Alyeska.

Located 70km south of Anchorage in Girdwood, this seven-minute aerial tram ride takes you 700m above the valley to the Glacier Tram Terminal.

The observation deck provides breathtaking panoramic views of mountains, hanging glaciers, rivers, forests and an array of wildlife. Enjoy hiking nearby or just relax and admire the view.

Facilities on the upper mountain include an observation platform with telescopes, the Glacier Express Café and the four-star Seven Glaciers for fine dining. During the summer season, the Alyeska Tramway is operated at half speed, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the views.
