Copywriter

Ben has worked in tourism for more than 20 years. He started out as a travel journalist before becoming the Telegraph’s Online Travel Editor. He then spent several years in tourism PR, mainly for adventure travel and gap year companies, before going freelance and writing travel guidebooks, specialising in the Americas.

Ben has visited North America many times and knows the northeast coast and Florida best. His travel highlights include the panoramic views from One World Trade Center in New York and snorkelling in the reefs off the Florida Keys.

Ben works at Journeyscape and Journey Latin America as a copywriter, a role that combines his passions for travel and the written word.

PACKING TIPS

I always take things that help me get a good night’s sleep because it makes such a difference to enjoying a holiday. I take my own feather pillow, an eye mask and ear plugs. I also take Pilates balls which help get rid of muscle tension.
